# Doxygen / [Doxygen-users] Doxygen bug that is present in the last two CVS versions - doxygen latex missing inserted

## doxygen latex missing inserted - Doxygen / [Doxygen-develop] Generating latex / pdf documentation of Doxygen

The "Missing $inserted" is probably caused by the underscores and bars. These characters in LaTeX have special meaning in math mode (which is delimited by$ characters). Try escaping them; e.g. update\_element instead of update_element. However, if you're trying to display code, a better solution would be to use the \verb command, which will typeset the text in a monospaced font and will. [Doxygen-users] Another problem with "Missing } inserted. \end{DoxyParams}" From: digitig - 2019-03-03 22:42:56 Thanks. > Hello Tim I do not use Doxygen with Latex, so I cannot help. GitHub is home to over 36 million developers working together to host and review code, manage projects, and build software together. There's no point in defining \mkstep and \stepref inside \twocols, as their definition doesn't depend on the argument to \twocols.Of course defining \Astep as you do in a cell will leave it undefined elsewhere, so \xdef is needed. I'd also put \relax before the starting conditional in the definitions of \mkstep and \stepref – egreg Feb 28 '12 at 22:48.

Missing } inserted.} l.18 \end{longtabu} This means that pdf output is broken in doxygen. I'm not a latex expert, but using MikTex on Windows it seems to be impossible to keep it from updating, so you end up with the broken version whether you want it or not.
